How to read DNS records
The Domain Name System publishes structured records through distributed authoritative servers and recursive resolvers. A and AAAA map names to IPv4 and IPv6; CNAME aliases one name to another; MX selects mail servers; NS identifies authoritative name servers; TXT carries text-based policies or verification data; and SOA describes the zone's authority and timing values.
Why results can differ
Resolver caches retain answers for their TTL, so recently changed records can appear different until older answers expire. Geographic traffic routing, resolver policy and DNSSEC validation can also affect what a resolver returns.
Simple hostname lookup versus DNS lookup
Use Hostname Lookup when you only need public IP addresses. This page is the broader record-level diagnostic.
What this result means
The answer shows records returned through this resolver and their current TTL. Caching, traffic steering and recent zone changes can make another resolver or later query differ.
